dressing, I had a shop in my home and wanted to sell hair pieces
and cosmetics. Didn't know where to turn to get supplies at
wholesale prices, so I looked in the yellow pages of phone book, under ';Hair Salon and Cosmetology Wholesale Suppliers'; and phoned a number of people in the big city. Each one referred me
to someone else and after about 5 or 6 ';referral calls'; , I hit the jackpot. I was sent catalogs from which I could order supplies
by phone, either by credit card, AND, after I was established a little, they let me pay ';C.O.D.'; That way I didn't have to pay a
monthly charge on my credit card. It worked well for me at the
time, but I am talking about possible 15 to 20 years ago. I'm sure that you'd still be able to get some info by calling some of
the suppliers in the ';Big City'; that's near you. I got my supplies

Although MAC does not distribute wholesale, they do offer discounts to licensed makeup artists. There are a select stores that sell offering this discount even to cosmetology students ( I am aware of one in Las Vegas), but it is possible to get a makeup artist discount even at the department stores MAC counters. It is not something they advertise, and it takes a good bit of effort to get it. You have to be able to prove that you've taken training specifically for makeup. Cosmetology school will not count. The makeup course has to be one they can verify and that you'd paid to take. You have to prove that you've been a professional makeup artist for at least three months and that you've been paid to do makeup gigs multiple times.
I had a friend that used to work at the counter in a local Nordstrom that gave me this information. They don't like giving discounts this way apparently, so they have to believe you are a professional makeup artist before they will give you information when you ask.
I hope this is still the case, as it was two years ago. I can only assume they still do it now.
FYI: If you are into makeup I believe it is possible to become a certified makeup artist without going through cosmetology training. You'll have to check with your state about licensing policies, but most don't require a cosmetology background. I know of a lady in my area that paid only a few thousand in makeup training classes, she gets discounts on many major makeup brands.

I've signed up for salehoo.com and worldwidebrands.com and it's really been a pain in the **** because these wholesalers aren't selling it for wholesale prices!
If anyone knows where I could possibly find a wholesaler who seels MAC products for a good deal, please let me know.
I WILL FIND OUT IF IT IS A SCAM ALSO. i've bought counterfeit products before.

Mac dosn't sell wholesale to any company. Your best bet is to see if you qulify for a macpro card (macpro.com) and apply for that. Then you get a discount (up to 40% off). Once and a while there are estee lauder/mac sales in some places...where many items are 70% off.
I suggest that you go directly to the Mac website. Or if you have a Mac store in your area?
Check out eBay for lots of MAC cosmetics. Make sure that the seller has a good rating before purchasing from them.

I have been on ebay and they are to dear for a good resale. I can get MAC off my current wholesaler for $8 but there are so many people in the UK who seem to be able to get it cheaper than this - especially the pigments which are all real ones.

I would not buy any cosmetic product from China, unless I was interested in poisoning my body and contracting some horrid disease.
Why would you do that...most of the products coming from there are tested on animals. Go with a credibly company like Arbonne. Let me know if you like more info.
